18 weeks!
We are closing in on 18 weeks!
I've physically started to feel a bit better - more energy, less vomiting (a lot less!). I still have some of the nauseous feeling, especially when I haven't eaten for a while or right after I eat.
I got cleared to run and do activity - so that's been a huge lifesaver! I forgot how hard running was. The first run out, I didn't think I would make it 2 miles! I've progressively gotten more miles in, up to 4 so far!
In early April, Joel and I took an impromptu vacation day from work on a Friday. We drove up and I finished some testing I had to complete, and then we went to all you can eat sushi, bowling, and then relaxed at home until I had to coach softball. Then we went to dinner with the other softball coaches. It was awesome to get to spend almost a whole day together when I actually had energy.
I am at that borderline state, where you can't tell if I've let myself go or if I'm actually pregnant. I also haven't felt the baby moving yet - but I've been listening in on the doppler ever couple of days. It is pretty reassuring to hear the heart beating.
We leave for Florida tomorrow to celebrate my 30th birthday and Easter with my parents for a few days. It will be nice break from work. I've also been stalled out on reading, so it will be a great opportunity to read some books and maybe work on my term papers.
When we get back, I'll get a jump start on getting some of the house ready. The weather is finally turning and with a little more energy, I'm feeling the need to do some spring cleaning and organizing. One of J's friends gave us all of their nursery stuff - a crib, a bassinet, a changing station, a rocking chair, a pack n play, and so much little girl clothes. That is all in our basement just waiting to be assembled and brought upstairs, we're missing a dresser and probably a lot of other things I don't even know I need :) J and I switched out the bedrooms so that there wouldn't be a door to outside in the nursery. I will need to get an area rug (possibly when we get back) so that I can start bringing things upstairs to see what all we have/need.
