2019 in Review
To say this year was a whirlwind would be an understatement.
We brought in 2019 with friends, hanging out at their house while their 2 month old baby slept and we played Card Against Humanity, drank wine and ate lots of food.

January
- We found out I was pregnant
- We played doubles in a racquetball tournament together and finally won one match
- Chip participated in Westminster!
- I kept the tradition alive and went to surprise night with Kris
- We went to Napa for Manker and Thalia's wedding
- We went to Colorado for the annual ski trip (I didn't ski, I was so sick from pregnancy)
- We ended up in the ER.. twice... for Hailey
- We heard Hailey's heartbeat!
- We did our first escape room
- We took a random Friday off and did a date day - we got sushi and went bowling
- We went to Florida to visit my parents for my birthday and Easter
- We went to Hello Dolly with Joel's dad and sister
- We visited Sioux Falls for Charlie's second birthday party
- We got the nursery put together thanks to Joel's friend that gave us his old nursery furniture
- I went to My Favorite Murder podcast with J and V
- I did a paint night with Joel's sisters and mom
- We started parenting classes at Amma
- I finished up 2 classes at Saint Thomas
- I finished my second season at Holy Angels with varsity finishing second in sectionals
- I went to the New Kids on the Block Concert with Kris
- We started house shopping, made 2 offers that didn't get accepted, one offer that finally did after they called contingency on their current offer
- We listed our Richfield home and got an offer the first weekend it was on the market
- We went to Chicago for a wedding
- We went to the Merrill's weddingin Lakeville
- We went to a Twin's game
- We closed on our new home in Blaine and moved in
- I had my last day at Medtronic
- Our buyer on the Richfield home fell through two days before closing
- I had my baby shower
- I freezer meal prepped in anticipation of Hailey's arrival
- I had my first day at Boston Scientific
- We went to Duluth for a night and supported the Neurotic Soles in their Ragnar
- Joel had his last day at Expeditors
- Joel had his first day at Ecolab
- Tucker came home from deployment!
- We went to the fair with Joel's friends
- Hailey Joy joined the world almost 4 weeks early on August 31st at 6:39pm
- My mom came to visit
- My dad came to visit
- I went for my first run post-baby
- Hailey went to her first happy hour
- Joel played in a racquetball tournament only a couple weeks post baby
- We sold our Richfield home
- We paid off my student loans
- We hosted Joel's friends for a Sunday night football game
- We cheered on the Twin Cities Marathon
- We bought a treadmill
- We traded Joel's car in and bought a CRV
- I ran my first double digit run post -baby
- I started my Amma Mamma class and met the most amazing mammas
- We ran a 10 miler together
- We went out for thai food and cheesecake to celebrate our 1 year anniversary
- We handed out candy for our first Halloween at our new home
- We survived a week of crying baby as we figured out that Hailey had reflux and sensitivity to cow's milk protein

- We took Hailey for her first "road trip" down to Joel's parents' house
- I fell on a couple or runs and decided to put the outdoor running on pause
- Hailey and I graduated the Amma Mamma class
- Hailey had her first play dates
- Hailey met Santa
- Hailey survived a full day at State Doubles racquetball tournament
- I went back to work after 12 weeks of maternity leave
- We went to a friendsgiving with Hailey
- We had an amazing Thanksgiving and stayed the night at Joel's parents' house
- Joel's parents had their first week of day care for Hailey
December
- Joel's parents survived their 4 weeks of daycare for Hailey
- We had our first night away from Hailey for Joel's company Christmas party
- We went to a Christmas concert at Joel's parents' church and Hailey slept through almost all of it
- My work team threw me a belated baby shower
- We took Hailey to the Holidazzle festival at Loring Park
- Hailey enjoyed her first Christmas by refusing naps
- Hailey got to meet her great-grandma, great-aunts and great-uncles
- We sent out the new year by going to all you can eat sushi and being in bed by 8pm
