Weekend Recap

It was a busy weekend… yet again. Friday we got Noodles and ate at the park with the kiddos.  Saturday morning, Joel went to Pickleball down in Chanhassen while I tried to wrangle the kids to the car dealership to get my car serviced.  What was supposed to be a few hours getting the car serviced turned into trading in the Prius and leaving with a RAV4.  So far, I’m absolutely loving it. I got a slightly used 2021 model and the extra space is so great.  It’s weird to be up high again in an SUV after being in the Prius for 5+ years.  The car seats fit MUCH better.  I also really like the Apple CarPlay - it feels so fancy.
After the car dealership, I headed home and picked up Joel and the kids and we headed to Maple Groce to go to the MiniSota play cafe. I had taken the kids last weekend alone and they loved it! It was a lot more crowded this time but the kiddos had a ton of fun. Miles really likes the little coup cars… with all the things to do, he loves to climb into those and just hang out. He can only figure out how to go backwards. We will definitely be going back more! After the play cafe, we stopped at Crumbl and grabbed cookies and then picked up Papa Murphys for dinner.
Sunday morning I drove down to Minnetonka to run with Northstar running club. I was able to do 8 miles of walk/run intervals! I even did a while 1.5 miles non stop! I definitely have gained some weight since my surgery, so that along with not running and being in recovery from surgery makes running so hard… but I love it so much. I had caribou with the team after the run - it’s pumpkin time again! All the emotions when I smell the pumpkin white mocha from caribou - it’s the drink I had the first morning in the hospital after having Hailey. Brings back all the feels! I can’t believe she is 3 this week! After the running club, I drove home and picked Hailey up to go visit friends and go buy some new running shoes. Joel rode the peloton for a couple hours while miles napped and then he headed out for a bit on the real bike once I got home. I took the kiddos grocery shopping and then we hung out at home with our backyard play set.
It was an exhausting weekend - like usual :) the kiddos just don’t like to sleep… between not napping and hating quiet time to Miles waking up well before 6 every morning and Hailey not long after… it’s exhausting….
