Hailey Joy at 3 years

 

Growth 

Hailey is 3' 2" (74th percentile) and 30 lb 6.4 oz (48th percentile). She’s still a tall, lean toddler! 

Likes

• Hailey still loves to watch TV -  Masha the Bear and now Miss Rachel 
• She really wants her pacifier again... 
• Playing at the park
• Jumping off of things
• Swimming/water - we are going to start swimming lessons again this fall
• Singing all the songs - she sings Twinkle Twinkle and the ABCs at the top of her lungs
• Walking around with our cellphones and saying "CHEEEEESE" and taking pictures
• Playing pretend - pretend kitchen, pretend shopping
• "i have 2 minutes!" we have a timer for everything now

Dislikes

• Napping at home (she seems to nap okay at daycare)
• Random stuff - the toddler tantrums are real

Activities 

Hailey just moved up to preschool this week!  She had been slowly transitioning, but now she is there full time. Her best friend from daycare also had their last week at our center last week - hopefully we will get to see them again. She has LOVED going to the park.  She likes to play outside.  She is getting sly - she gets a pacifier in Joel's car so she now asks to "throw the wisbing (frisbee)" that are in Joel's trunk so she can climb into the seats and get her pacifier.  

Eating

She’s not the biggest eater. We struggle sometimes to get her to eat anything. Some days she loves stuff and then the next she will hate it. Lately, she is on a mac and cheese and meatball kick.  She also likes burgers with ketchup. And juice... and icees

Temperament

Hailey is getting a lot braver, especially with strangers.  She is still cautious, which I think is a good thing, but she will scream songs at the top of her lungs at Target and yell hello to strangers (although she gets really shy if they say hello back).  She enjoys things being in order and likes to be a helper at daycare --- this is all ditto to her last update

Being a  Big Sister

Hailey and Miles are starting to play a lot more! It's so cute when she gets him laughing.  She does not like when he comes near anything of hers though and struggles a bit with sharing.
