2020 In Review - DRAFT

 2020 has been a year.  This is also the most I've posted in a week in probably the whole time I've done "blogging".

Here are some notable events/hobbies throughout 2020:

January

• Hailey's first dog show
• Joel started paternity leave
• Traveled to Colorado for a skiing trip
• Hailey's first time swimming!
• Hailey's first plane ride
• Kobe Bryant died during this trip...
• Paid off both of our cars!

February

• We hosted a Super Bowl party at our house
• Work trip for the ISLAA conference in New York City - Joel and Hailey came with.  We were in the Marriott right in Times Square!
• First trip to Statue of Liberty
• Hailey started daycare
• She took a 3 hour nap on her first day! That trend did not last
• She got sick the after the first week
• Ear infection
• Influenza A
• ER visit due to slight dehyrdation

March

• We voted!
• We upgraded to a king size bed
• Covid hit
• Joel went to the office the last time on March 19th
• Hailey pulled from daycare
• Taya's class switched to fully online
• Hailey had her first skin infection, liver ultrasound for all of the hemangiomas, and pediatric dermatologist appointment
• A mixture of bleach baths and triamcinalone worked wonders for her skin!
• We used a sleep coach from the Cleo app that I still had access to from Medtronic and it was life changing
• Hailey finally slept through the night
• Hailey met her grandparents new puppy

April

• Joel's parents helped with daycare for Hailey so we could get work done
• Lots of at home work outs, runs with the running stroller
• Taya's job got force to 4 day work weeks
• Hailey's first tooth came in!
• Taya got her Chantilly cake for her bday :)

May

• Taya's first Mother's day
• Hailey's first swing experience
• Shin splints really bad, sidelined plans for running for a while
• Hailey started crawling!
• Hailey started daycare again for the first time

June

• I bought a nice camera off of Facebook Marketplace and started to use it to take some better pictures of Hailey, the family and the pets
• Joel's first Father's day

July

• More miles of running finally
• Joined Moms on the Run and met an amazing group of women!
• Two trips to Sioux Falls to visit family

August

• Hailey's first steps
• Hailey's first birthday
• Half marathon to celebrate Hailey's birthday

September

• Hailey ended up in the ER with Roseola
• Found out we are expecting
• Joel's parents decided to build a house 10 minutes from us
• Dad came to visit and say for a couple weeks

October

• Mom came to visit and stayed a few weeks
• Celebrated Halloween at Joel's friend's house with a couple other kids

November

• Covid spike in MN led us to spend Thanksgiving at home with food delivered to our door from Joel's parents

December

• Christmas and New Year's at Joel's parents house
• Finished my second masters in systems engineering
