May Reads
It was a slow month of reading for me with being so uncomfortable being pregnant and just tired and meh.
I expect the next few months to be a little slow too adjusting to a family of four.
Liked/Loved
The Wife Upstairs by Rachel Hawkins – Good twist ending - semi predictable story line but just what I needed this month. A woman who is running from her past find a way to a new life when she forms a relationship with a widow she walks dogs for.
Paddle Your Own Canoe: One Man’s Fundamentals for Delicious Living by Nick Offerman – I didn’t really know much about Offerman before this book but was a good, easy read and I appreciated some of his viewpoints and dry humor
Anxious People by Frederik Backman– This was definitely different than what I’m used to when reading his books but I actually really enjoyed it. I appreciated the blend of story lines and how it all came together for a happy ending
Meh
The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab – Not my normal style of book but still enjoyed it. It was about a girl who was ‘cursed’ to live forever but he forgotten as soon as an interaction is over
