Hailey Joy at 2.5 years old

 

Growth 

Hailey is 34.5 inches tall (70th percentile) and 25.6 pounds (35.5th percentile). She’s a tall, lean toddler! 

Likes

• “Watch the TV” she loves Cocomelon and has finally expanded out to Masha the Bear, Trash Truck and Cory 
• Hanging out with family - she is so lucky to have family close by and other family that makes the trip to see her. She loves both of her ammas and appas
• Bath time  
• Swimming/water!
• Baby shark
• Gymnastics
• Singing all the songs - she sings Twinkle Twinkle and the ABCs at the top of her lungs

Dislikes

• Napping at home (she seems to nap okay at daycare)
• Showers
• Random stuff - the toddler tantrums are real

Activities 

She loves to hang out in the bath.  She just finished Back Float Baby 3 at Foss Swim School.  We are going to take a break from swimming lessons for the summer and start again in the fall with both kids.  She was starting to get a little bored with the class so a break will be good.  The last class of the session, we got her goggles to try out and she actually enjoyed putting her head under the water.

She loved doing gymnastics at Jam Hops so we have her doing it once a week through daycare.  

Eating

She’s not the biggest eater. We struggle sometimes to get her to eat anything. Some days she loves stuff and then the next she will hate it. Lately, she will only eat peanut butter on a spoon and goldfish crackers

Temperament

Hailey is getting a lot braver, especially with strangers.  She is still cautious, which I think is a good thing, but she will scream songs at the top of her lungs at Target and yell hello to strangers (although she gets really shy if they say hello back).  She enjoys things being in order and likes to be a helper at daycare

Being a  Big Sister

Hailey likes Miles for the most part but DOES NOT LIKE if he touches any of her stuff.  She will be super sweet to him majority of the time unless he touches any of her toys or blankets.
