Six Things Sunday

  • We are SLOWLY starting to pack/plan for trip to Florida… which is coming up really quickly! It will be so nice to get to some warm weather and see my parents 
  • Joel’s family in town - his aunt and uncle came to visit. We have stopped by a few times to hang out and have dinner, it’s so helpful to eat there and have extra hands with the kids and really nice to see family ❤️
  • Got my hair done!! It felt so good to cut a bunch of the dry ends off and lighten it up. It was the first time I have gone to my hair lady since before the pandemic. She did have to tone my hair a bit because the ends were really brassy. She also added some nice layers to give it some volume and waxed my eyebrows, I felt much more confident leaving that appointment. 
  • Yesterday I ran 16 miles and was surprised at how strong I felt. I did the Hot Chocolate 15k with a friend for the last 9. My legs got a little tired with about 5k to go. I was sort of bummed when I saw my race pictures because I feel strong but I don’t love the way my body looks…. And I know I could be way faster if I could drop some of this extra weight

  • To the previous point… I signed up for the Lose It App instead of WW. I have previously tried MyFitnessPal in the past and done pretty well with that but I have seen a lot of people on IG that have switched over to Lose It from WW are are a lot more successful. I need to switch it up because I am not doing well with WW right now and straight calorie counting might be a good break
  • Took impromptu vacation on Friday from work.. Called in to some meetings and then went to get my packet, had some coffee, went and had a beer and read at the bar, ran 4 miles with friends, and then read in my car for a bit and enjoyed the sun and the silence.  Went to get kids early, we went to the liquor store, the pet store, and then the library. Got pizza for dinner
