The Soulmate Equation by Christina Lauren (★★★★☆) - This book is about a statistician named Jess that had a daughter young. She is skeptical about love because her ex ran off before her daughter was born. She sees this mysterious guy come into her coffee shop every morning for an Americano. It turns out he is a scientist that founded a DNA dating website. I found this book really enjoyable and really liked Jess's friend.
Chronicles of a Radical Hag by Lorna Landvik (★★★★★) - Ughhhh I loved this book. It was a little challenging at times to keep the characters straight but it was good. It was about a small town newspaper columnist that has a stroke so the paper starts publishing her old columns and letters.
Winter Solstice by Elin Hildebrand (★★★★☆) - This is the fourth book in the Winter Street series, and a sad but lovely way to say goodbye to the Quinn family.
Razorblade Tears by S.A. Crosby (★★★★★) - This is about two dads that are ex-cons/murderers that seek to get revenge on the people that killed their sons. Very brutal but good.
UNSUB by Meg Gardiner (★★★★☆) - I liked this book, not sure I'll read any more into the series.. I didn't connect a ton with the character but enjoyed the story - also, pretty graphic with killings
Badass Habits: Cultivate the Awareness, Boundaries, and Daily Upgrades You Need to Make to Them Stick by Jen Sincero (★★☆☆☆) - Not sure why, but really didn't like the author's style... some of the points where good but it got lost in the way her attitude came through
The Plot by Jean Hanff Korelitz (★★★★☆) - This book is about an author who steals the plot of a story from a former student. He gets famous off of the plot, but then starts getting threatening messages from someone that knows he stole the story. The book was sort of slow to get going, but the last quarter of the book was great.
The Neighbor (Dective D.D. Warren #3) (★★★★☆) - I enjoyed this book. A mom/wife goes missing in the middle of the night. The husband is the main suspect. Both their secrets start to come to light as the search is on for her. While I enjoyed this book, I think I'm going to give this series a break. The author's topics get a little triggering for me
How to Fail at Flirting by Denise Williams (★★★★☆) - A professor decides to go a little wild, meets a man at a bar and falls for him - but turns out his job is to determine if she should be laid off or not. I thought the book had enough plot to keep it enterataining
