Miles Wayne at 9 months

Likes:

• Bouncing, peekaboo, toys
• Pulling up onto EVERYTHING, he is the busiest kid ever.  He doesn't want to be held or snuggle or anything, he just wants to crawl and climb onto everything 
• Making his sister angry - he tries to play with her toys or touch her stuff.. she screams and he find it funny.  He does love to look at her and watch her in the car - we just switched him to the car seat form the infant carrier and now he can see her better while we are driving
• FOOD. He loves to eat solids... he will eat for an hour straight if you let him, he out eats Hailey easily.  He doesn't seem to like ground beef, eggs, or bananas.  He loves teething crackers and peanut butter
• Baths, he LOVES the bathtub

Dislikes:

• Sitting still - he is sitting up really well now but doesn't like to stay in one place for long
• Getting his diaper changes, he CANNOT be held down

Sleeping: 

Naps at daycare and at home are going well.  He is down to 2 naps a day, about 1-1.5 hours each. 

We have still been putting him to bed between 6 and 7.  We have basically given up on sleep training for now.  We just give him a bottle in the crib (and then we go back to bed... I'm aware this is a terrible habit) when he wakes up and he will fall back asleep until about 6-7.  

Eating: 

Miles has reduced his bottle intake a bit, only drinking 4-6 ounces at a time every 3-4 hours. This includes a 4 ounce bottle at some point in the early mornings.

We are still on the Target brand formula, which is good because of the Similac recall. He is still SUPER distracted with the world right now so it’s hard to get him to actually drink his bottle in one sitting…. He does best when we give the botte to him laying on the floor.

He eats solids like a champ... he loves it. 

Growth: 

Wearing 9-12 month and in size 3 diapers.  We are still using sposie pads in his diaper at night. His 9 month appointment got postponed so I will update his height and weight.

Firsts:

This month had a few firsts -

• He has been going to the bigger infant room a lot more
• He has popped two teeth!
