Father's Day 2021

Our Father's Day was definitely a little more hectic than year's past. Joel usually plays some sort of outdoor sport with his dad, but this year his dad was originally planning to be out of town at a dog show.  They ended up coming back early - but we had bad weather so couldn't do anything outside and everything inside was booked.

Joel tried to find people to play pickleball with - he even drove down to Eden Prairie to see if people were down there but the courts were wet.  He was able to get his workout in - thanks to the help of his sister L and Cocomelon to entertain both kids (Miles is VERY needy right now).

We went and visited Joel's parents new house (they close in a week-ish!) and Hailey had SO MUCH FUN.  She ran around, threw herself on the ground, did somersaults - had an absolute blast being the center of attention.  After that, we came back to our house and got take out BBQ for the meat eaters and Joy Kitchen for me and K.  We did presents and had chocolate chip cookies. I had to nurse Miles for a bit so I missed saying goodbye to everyone, but it was so nice to have them all over to hang out and entertain the kids.

Joel and his dad took a raincheck to go play some pickleball or golf some other weekend since it didn't work out this weekend.

I didn't get any pictures of Joel with the kids - but here's some random ones from the day.
