Sleeping:
Miles gave us a couple of almost 7 hour stretches if I kept putting his pacifier back in his mouth, shushing him and putting his tummy. Realistically he is only giving us about 4 hour stretches at the most. I think those longer stretches were actually him getting sick (Hailey has RSV) since he was congested again. He is eating almost 4 ounces at each waking so he definitely is hungry, hopefully it’s just a growth spurt because mama is tired (especially with toddler night wakings). Unfortunately, his second and third stretches are only about 2 hours. Thankfully, he goes back to sleep fairly quickly with the Snoo, but I’m looking forward to the longer night stretches.
We haven’t quite gotten into a day routine for naps yet with all the activities I’ve been trying to do to get us out of the house. Thankfully, he can sleep well in his boppy and his car seat. We do get pretty good naps out of him when we put him in the Snoo, so it will be a good thing to start working on once we get back from vacation. It is nice, though, to snuggle him while he naps :)
Eating:
Miles is eating up to 4 ounces at a time every few hours - usually about 2-3 ounces. He’s doing just fine on the generic Target brand which is way nicer than the stinky, expensive stuff Hailey had to eat.
Growth:
Wearing 0-3 month and in size 1 diapers.
At his weight check appointment at 6 weeks he was 10 pounds 15 ounces (48%) and 23.5 inches long (95%). Based on the bathroom scale this morning he is 12 pounds 7 ounces.
Hailey was 10 pounds 11 ounces (31%) and 22.2 inches long (37%) at 2ish months.
Firsts:
This month had a few firsts -
- First smile!
- First coos
- First hospital stay/ambulance ride
Mom:
Tired…. But feeling pretty good otherwise. I’ve been working on getting more workouts in because I know I feel much better mentally. I have been able to fly through books this month with all the night wakings, I’ve been trying to read my kindle during the feedings instead of mindlessly scrolling through social media.
For comparison - Hailey at two months from my Instagram:
This month we found out she has a cow's milk allergy and reflux. A switch of the formula and getting her on med has made her a much happier baby!
We saw her first peek of a smile and she is sleeping a little bit longer stretches. (Anywhere from 2.5-5 hours with a couple surprise 6ish hour stretches)
