Our Weekend in Ten Photos

We had a really good weekend despite the fact that our toddler refused her naps both days. 

Friday night Joel went and played pickleball after Hailey went to bed. We enjoyed Crumbl cookies (the snickerdoodle was the best!).

Saturday we went to the Andover Family Fest to watch the parade and Hailey got to play on the inflatables. She loved them! She got her first sucker and freezie pop. After the parade we failed at nap time so went over to the Lakes of Blaine and went in the lake and played at the splash pad. Joel’s friends came over for dinner and we grilled brats and burgers and had Nothing Bundt Cakes. It was so nice having them over and Miles loved the snuggles. 

Sunday morning Joel took Hailey for a daddy daughter date to Perkins then watched the tennis finals. I went and ran with MOTR and went out for coffee. We had a friend from Medtronic bring over Chipotle for lunch and pick up a bunch of baby and maternity stuff that we no longer need. It was so nice to see them and get stuff out of the house and know they will get used again - baby stuff gets used for such a short period of time that it’s so nice to be able to hand it off. I got Hailey’s toddler bed put together so we can work on that transition since she is on the brink of climbing out - she puts one of her legs over the edge when she’s having her tantrums and she is not graceful, she would fall… Hailey refused to nap again so I took the kids to Dan and Sheri’s to hang out a bit so Joel could get his workout in. Hailey fell and skinned her knees on the driveway so she has a new owie to tell us about. We went over to the neighbor’s house for drinks and ordered Toppers pizza for dinner. Joel put Hailey to bed and brought the monitor up so we could stay a little later. They told us they’re putting their house on the market in the next couple of weeks since they found a house on a lake they are buying. Such a bummer to see them go, we really like them and they have a kid around Hailey’s age. The neighbors on the other side of us also just sold their house so hopefully we get some neighbors we get along with on that side! The house on the other side of them just sold but got turned into a rental property- they were the ones shooting fireworks off from the median on the 4th.

It felt so good to get out with the MOTR group and sort of keep up with them!

So glad Sheri could come along! So fun to have her with us!! And Hailey has enjoyed picking her nose all weekend…
