Five Things Friday
2. I’m thankful for health insurance (I think, we haven’t had all of claims processed yet…). Between Miles’ birth, my emergency surgery, and Miles’ hospital visit last week (not including the ambulance ride) alone, our bill is over $75k. We ended up at urgent care for Miles to get something checked out that ended up being perfectly normal, but it was so relieving to be able to go get it looked at, especially if it wouldn’t have been normal!
3. It’s been so nice that Joel’s parents live so close now. We’ve been able to stop by after daycare with the kids and see them for a bit. It’s also incredibly helpful that they can pop over to help with the kids too.
4. I had my first run that felt so good! I hadn’t really run since about 11/12 weeks pregnant with Miles since that’s when all the bleeding started. I did a 3 minute/1 minute run/walk and was hitting about 10 minute miles on the run. The weather was also in the 50s, so it was nice and cool. That was helpful for both me and for Miles since he didn’t overheat in the stroller. I am signed up for the Twin Cities 10 mile - really nice to have something to look forward to!
5. We are starting to get plans ready for our trip to visit Joel’s family and then go to the CrossFit Games. We have something that goes until about 3 the day we are supposed to leave so it will be a late-ish night. I’m really looking forward to the trip and getting out of town since we haven’t really gone anywhere since the pandemic started. Joel will have to work from the hotel for a couple of days, but it will be so nice to be able to have dinner and spend some time with family!
| I finally went through and sorted all of Hailey’s old clothes and dropped them off with one of my First stone Amma Mom friends that is having a girl in November |

Look at Miles looking at Hailey in that last photo! So sweet! Phil LOVES Paul so much. He is so entertained by watching his antics. he's getting more interested in Paul's toys, though, which Paul is NOT happy about! I just entered the lottery for the 10 mi yesterday! My neighbor entered, too, and we are hoping to do it together. In hindsight, I should have created a team for us so that we either both get in or both don't... didn't think of that until after the fact!
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the run! I've worked up to 4.5 minutes running/30 seconds walking and my pace is similar to yours.
